On the 16th and 17th of April, the Senior class presented Growing Pains, by Aurania Rouveral. The scene of the play is i11 northern California at the Spanish patio home of Professor and Mrs. Mclntrye, the parents of two modern adoles- cents, Terry and George. l Terry, the fifteen year old tomboy, finds it very hard to give up the com- panionship of boys. But she discovers a way to get around civilization and is induced to rely O11 her feminine resources to interest her brother's pal, Brian. George, her brother, ruled entirely by what the other fellas do, falls very hard for Prudence, the neighborhood vamp, and is completely crushed when she tells him, I think you are awfully youngf' The climax of the play comes at a party which George and Terry give for the gang. George, sent for Inore ice cream, runs amuck of the law, and the cop traces the pile of junkv to the McIntyre home. In defense ol' Prudence, George strikes the cop and is taken Off to jail. Father, though 'fonly a Latin professor, copes with the situation admirably. The next day peace is restored for Terry and Brian are pals, George has found two new interests in life, Rascal, a dog, and Vivian, a new girl. The McIntyres recognize the signs of recovery from 'fgrowing pains with great relief.
