A n MMA M ,H .ar ,V :V KW , Presidents Message Among the phenomena' of the past century is the vanishing of the American frontier. Raging rivers, vast forests, deserts, and mountain ranges have bowed to the ingenuity of modern man. Gone are the days of which old-timers and adventurous youth dream - days when flint-hearted pioneers blazed hazardous trails in their surge across the country, but there is no need to pine, for other exciting frontiers now chal- lenge us. The present era finds men feverishly probing a thousand thrilling secrets in medicine, communication, energy, travel, technology, speed, and space. Beyond these is the world's greatest challenge - the frontier of the spirit. The very pinnacle for pioneers is the secret of everlasting life. The goal ahead and the tasks before us are heaven-high and world-wide. The 1957 Acorn gives glimpses of Oakwood College, which trains spiritual fron- tiersmen to explore the far reaches of earth for the advancement of the Cause, to battle superhuman forces, and to develop new vineyards of right were once wild forests grow.
