S FsHlCDTR SIU ASSE Even as freshmen the present graduating class was known as one of the largest and noisiest classes in recent Oakville High School history. When school reopened in the fall of 1958, it was found that one or two memebrs of the class were no longer with us but there were one or two new faces to take the places of those who had gone. The class continued on its merry way, some members taking part in athletics, band and glee clubs, The following year the class found itself in the pos- ition of upperclassmen but didn't let the dignity break its spirit. Two of the boys played on the basketball team that won second place at the stste tournament and several others played in the championship band. The Junior play, UA Ready Ma de Familyh, was very successful and was given a second time in place of a group of one act plays that was to have been given. The Junior - Senior banquet was a big success and the 1940 Tillicum was the best in recent years. During the past year the class has staggered a little under the added dignity that goes with the term Senior , but even though bloody its head is still unbowed. Many members of the class have taken prominent parts in all school activities as will be seen by turning the pages of this book.
