Donna Godby and Ginny Weber decorating the entrance way for our homecoming dance. Ray Pederson and Dale Godby help out with homecoming decorations. What's a showboatwith- out windows? Aren't you kids a little old to be playing with cut-outs? Pom poms, crepe paper, chicken wire, cardboard and 2x4's were gradually trasformed into SERENADE OF THE SOUTH . The outcome was an enormous seven pedal magno- lia bloom for the queen and her court. The Diplomats played in an old-fashioned southern gazebo. Refresh- ments were served on the show boat's deck, which was made from the balcony. The finishing touch was a fall ceiling that was the cheery on top of a delicious sundae.

Second Place Float Fine Arts Guild First Place Float Music Department Saturday, October 12, 1968, 95th Street was turned into a picture ot the Old South as Serenade of the South came to Oak Lawn. There was a total of eight floats and five other vechiles inthe parade. Among the seven judged, the Music Department took first place. Coming in second was, Find Arts Guild. Adding to the spectal was our Spartan Band and Drill Team.
