TEACHING MEANS INSTRUCTION TEACHElRS GIVE PERSONAL AT'TENTION TO STU DE NITS The primary task of the teacher is instruc- tion, that is, to impart to each student the particular skill or information :required by his class. This is done primarily on a class-wide basis, but time and opportunity are given in each class for personal supervision and attention by the teacher. Some students need more indi- vidual instruction than others just as some classes lend themselves more readily to this type of teaching.
