The following weeks were spent in choosing their class rings, for which they had been waiting since Freshman days, and selecting Junior class play. They finally chose Damsels in Distress, a three-act comedy. The cast included Betty Buntin, Carol Herold, Douglas Parker, Charles Reese, Jackie Gabossi, Rosalie Long, Hayden Phillips, Sue Giberson, Lela Rowley, Roy Anderson, Reggie Steele, and Richard Villa. Thanks to Mr. Brock, the director, the cast was ready to give the play on the 12th of November. It was a huge success and added a great sum of money to the class treasury. After the play they were entertained at a party given by Misslngalls, the sponsor, and the room-mothers Mrs. Reese and Mrs. Murray. With the play finished, other things came up which included the Juniors, such as All-Valley Band, the speech meet at Steamboat, the Christmas program, dances after the games, and as- semblies. Many ofthe Junior boys went out for basketball and football. Everyone was proud to have Richard Villa made All-Conference center in football, and to have Richard Borroel, Hayden Phillips, Joe Nieto, and John Alvarez on the first ten in basketball. Almost all of the Junior girls were in Pep Club and Jackie Gabossi was again named Cheerleader. The 5th and 7th of May were set aside for the Junior and Senior prom and banquet. The banquet, held in the beautifully decorated high school gym, was greatly enjoyed by everyone. A large crowd attended the prom where they danced to the music of Emmert Curran. The last event of a successful and fun-filled year was the annual picnic. sz ,VL Lx X-.L ra' QF UQMEYPQW 525:50 agp EX e Qiv mknih dl? ,X SNSR uolcpxf QQ 0c..x1h11-h,S '3,?e,'HQ
