We, the Senior Class of 1953, Oak Creek Union High School, District No. 4, City of Oak shall soon depart from the halls of OCUHS to return no more, do hereby proclaim this document to be our last will and testament. Being in good health and sound mind we do hereby devise, bequeath, and dispose of our property, in the manner as follows. To the Junior Class we leave our ability of giving successful plays, banquets, and promsg also our ability of making money. To the boys of the Sophomore Class we leave our athletic ability and to the girls we leave our marching capability. 'N -'VHF' To the Freshman Class we leave our dignity and outstanding qualities of leadership. To Curly Koler we leave all our wads of gum, disgarded papers, and pencil stubs. To our Sponsors we leave the Junior Class, who we hope will be just as co-operative, kind, and as good as sports as we have been. Domingo Alvarez--wills his athletic ability to Richard Villa and his curly hair to Butch Phillips. Tommy Anderson--wills his way with girls to Elwin Powell. Thelma Hixon--wills her ability with boys to Carol Lee Baer. Marian Kamakaris--wills her ability to keep thin and also the book that goes with it to Carma Coyner. Dolores Levens--wills her cheer leading ability to Betty Dull providing she gets all- conference. Marie Lombardi--leaves her giggles and sense of humor to Betty Buntin providing she uses them. Lucy Niety--wills her height and slim figure to Rosalie Long--Good Luck! Lg Henry Peltier--leaves his job at Stetson's to Jackie Sullivan providing he doesn't get stuck. Albert Rauzi--wills his pretty hair to Matt Alvarez providing he gets no crew cuts. Janette Reese--wills her ability to stay out of Detention to Richard Gonzales. E4 FL Y L' We enter our flying saucer and fly to the rock of eternity and take a path to 1965. As we approach the year of 1965 we notice a nice landing strip. We land and start to get out when we notice a mysterious rider guiding a mechanical rocket horse toward us. When he reaches us we are surprised to see that it is none other than the superintendent and sponsor of the Senior Class of 1953, Mr. R. E. Murfin. From him we learn that he vies with Mr. Marconeri in owning the largest cattle ranch in the United States. Mr. Murfin tells us he is in a hurry because he has to check all his land before Mr. Marconeri finishes. They are now great rivals. We leave Mr. Murfin's ranch and find ourselves in another spread. Here we see a big mansion. As we walk around it we see our high school coach and sponsor of the Senior Class of '53 lying in a hammock. After talking with him for a while he informed us that Oak Creek the big metro- polis, is only 50 miles north of here. We get into our flying saucer and take off for Oak Creek. As we reach town we see a big campus. In big letters on one building we see the Anderson and Flem- ing Agriculturial college. We stopped to talk to our old friends Tom and Cecil and learn that Gus and Delmar are running a veterinary school on the other side of town. As we walk through the campus we hear someone shouting orders at a gym group. Her voice' sounds familar so we go over and find Marian Kamakaris instructing a women's olympic track team. After talking to Marian for a while we wished her good luck with her team and continued down the street. Suddenly we see a large crowd of teen-agers screaming and shouting. We walk down to see what it is all about and much to our surprise we see our old buddy, Earl Crumpton. He informs us that he has taken Johnny Ray's place as the worlds greatest crooner. As we leave Earl and his fans we stop at a filling station and find Max Weber standing in front of the largest filling station in the West. As we talk with him he tells us he has made a great fortune. Just as we start to leave we notice something coming down the highway at a great speed. Suddenly he stops and we discover that it is that well-known bronc buster, Gilbert Daniels. We notice further down the road Dolores coming on a beautiful black stallion. As they pranced and danced down the highway. Gib told us they were on their way to one of the biggest rodeos ever held in the State of Colorado. Gib and Dolores are now professional bronc riders of 1965. After leaving our great stars light, attract our attention and arouse our curiosity. They prove to be a drug store in which we find the two best known pharmacists in the world, Domingo Alvarez and George Callas. They tell us they are now partners. After visiting with them for a while we continue on our way. Soon we see a huge ranch. We investigate to find Henry Peltier, owner of a progressive cattle ranch. Henry showed us his ranch and invited us to stay for dinner. Knowing we had a long way to go we had to decline. We continue on, and as we pass this huge window we see the latest Paris creations. We notice a very familiar face, none other than Lucy Nieto. She is now a famous dress designer. She is wearing Leonard's beautiful engagement ring. Lucy tells us she sees Shirley Batton Jarrell, who has three little linemen and three little soda jerks. They are doing quite well as Howard is president of the telephone company. We leave Lucy and walk on only to hear a beautiful tenor voice which we recognize as Victor Gabossi's. He is an entertainer at Fitzsimmon's Hospital. He asked us to hear his program that afternoon. As we walk into the hospital we see the head doctor coming toward us. We recognize her as Mary Alice Dow- ling. As we talk to Mary Alice we learn that Janette Reese is the head telephone operator in Oak Creek. We walk across the street to the telephone office to spend a few minutes with her. She tells us she is doing well and really likes her job. We bid her goodby and continue on our way. As we walk down the street we are interrupted by a paperboy holleringg Extra! Extra! Read all about it--Lois Bujacil, ambassador to Russia, returns after making peace there. We buy a paper and continue walking down the street. As we pass a building we see a sign saying, Lose 50 lbs. in 10 easy lesson. See Donna Carlson, Manager. After talking a while with Donna we leave. As we walk out the door we see a familiar figure standing on the street. When we walk over to him we see that he is none other than Hilbert Zamudio, our old buddy. He tells us he is the big boss of a construction company. While talking to him we find out that Albert Rauzi is one of the greatest architects in the world. We leave Hilbert and decide to visit Albert. As we walk into his office we are surprised to see his private secretary, Shirley Daugherty. We find that it is getting late so we have to leave. As we walk out of the building and start to cross the street we are almost run down by a big yellow convertible. The driver stops and gets out to see if anyone is hurt. As she gets out we recognize her as Marie Lombardi. She tells us she hasjust returned froma trip around the world. From Marie we learn that Richard Harris, the brain and joker of our class is now a successful civil engineer. It is getting dark and we find we have to return to the year of 1953. We hesitate a little because we haven't heard or seen Thelma Hixon, the twenty fifth member of our senior class. As we start to enter our flying saucer, we hear someone yelling. We turn to see who it is and we see Thelma coming towards us. We hardly recognize her at first because she is in a Wave's uniform. She tells us she joined the waves and has made a very successful career out of it.
