In the fall of1983, coaches Pete Leonard and John Karpowicz
were looking for a few good! men to start their cross-country
program. They found just that.
In its two years in existence, the unheralded Northstar cross-
country team has posted 2 consecutive Winning seasons, includ-
ing this years 13-10-1 effort, making it one of the more success-
ful varsity athletic programs at Nottingham.
Season highlights included Hrst time wins over Colonial Val-
ley Conference rivals: Notre Dame, Princeton, and McCo1'ris-
tan.
