Every homeroom has as iTs goal IOOZQ, and seven homeroorns have obTained iT Trom SepTember I942 To April l943. NoTT Terrace sTudenTs have supporTed Tour special drives. The TirsT, a Three day drive in Ociober l94l, was The iniTial beginning oT sTamp sales in NoTT Terrace. This drive neTTed 5900. In March I942, when SchenecTady sTarTed iTs Tank Tor MacArThur drive, NOTT Terrace sTucIenTs, by soliciT- ing parenTs, Triends and neighbors, sold 522,244.60 which was over halT The ciTy's quoTa. On December 7, l942, The school held a special drive, Pearl Harbor Day. The original goal was 52,800 buT The Tinal sales exceeded S5,746. In recogniTion oT NoTT Terrace High School's conTri- buTion To The war eFForT, The Treasury DeparTmenT in February I943 awarded NoTT Terrace The School aT War Flag. To achieve This award 901, oT The sTudenT body musT purchase one War STamp a monTh. NoTT Terrace is The TirsT Senior High School in The ciTy To obTain This Tlag.
