l A FT' m s M, OKWQ S LE CLERC HALL E CI ERC HALL ranks wlth the best among burldmgs of 1ts kmd It was erected only a year ago and rmmedxately met wxth the enthuslastlc ap proval of not only the students but of every one who has had the prlvllege of seelng xt It IS a long two stoned bulldmg There are three wlngs the rlght wmg contalnrng the gymnasium the left wmg the audltorxum and the rear wmg the swmmmmg pool In the basement rs a well equrpped bowling alley the students lockers each one wrth a shower attached dressmg rooms lmed wlth mrrrors five muslc rooms the Athletxc Association room a receptlon room and a handsome recreatlon hall for the boarders The gymnasrum IS QPHCIOUS well ventrlated and well llghted A basket ball court and courts for other popular games are marked out on the floor and there rs a balcony on all four srdes whlch may also serve as a track Every thrng that could be deslred rn the l1ne of apparatus rs there Openmg on the corrldor between the gymnasium and the audrtorlum are several handsomely furnlshed parlors and the lobby rs enllvened wrth palms and other tall plants The audltorxum has a Seating capacrty of almost a thousand Crltlcs have pronounced rt one ot the most handsome 1n the country and thelr com mendatlon 1S mdeed well deserved The furmture IS of excellent quality and good workmanshlp and the decoratlons are planned wlth artlstlc care The stage curtams and the hangmgs are of maroon velvet supplylng the keynote for the color scheme The stage rs large and well furmshed There IS a balcony rn the rear of the audltorlum and the cellotex ln the cellmg absorbs all echoes rendermg the acoustlcs perfect An atmosphere of pervasrve refinement and modern efflclency IS the effect produced by the whole One IS rmpressed by the rlch yet qulet taste that prevarls everywhere The swlmmmg pool xs one of Le Clerc Hall s greatest attractrons at least IH the eyes of the grrls who bathe m lf The pool IS trled of course and measures sxxty feet by twenty feet The water IS constantly chlorlnated and both the pool and ltS preclncts are sanltary and rmmaculate On the thlrd floor IS srtuated the muslc conservatory equrpped with everything ln the line of musxc There rs also a long dance hall with well polrshed floor and a great mrrror on one end The Alumnae Room rs located on th1s floor What consummate care and sklll must have been required rn the erection of such a bulldrng' No slxghtest detarl that could add to the welfare or pleasure of the students has been overlooked We who have been among the first to enjoy the advantages attendrng the addmon of Le Clerc Hall to our dear Alma Mater wnll never forget rt l53l' All f- 'l c v mt' KSN rut ZR.
