Literature, since it explores our own unique nature, has the power to strengthen, beautify, and Christianize us . We can be transformed by our 'contact with the magic of words . Literature illustrates our sorrows, ioys, ten- sions, and needs, and allows our spirit to grow in its ability to wonder. lf we sense this wonder, the full excitement of our transformation will begin to satisfy our hunger iust enough to let us reach out for more .
