The Sisters, the lay faculty, and the outstanding spirit of the school itself-- each has bound our affections to Notre Dame. However, it is our privilege to single out one factor which has greatly contributed to our all round development, the lay faculty They are women from whom we can learn not only lessons in classroom sublects, but also lessons in how to live as Christian women To these people, our lay teachers, we owe our gratitude and re spect for the hours and years they have devoted to forming our minds and wills Therefore, to express our appreciation for their guidance and protection, and in recognition of their selfless sacrifice, we dedicate this year s Torch to our teachers and our friends f lthe lay faculty ' li II ,T Q 5 T T T - ' - t li ' ' . ol I , I 1 l V if ' ii, , , . . . Following a hectic day of servitude to their sister class the Frosh appeared at the auditorium weary, but they still managed to provide the rest ofthe students with a hilarious entertainment. Again, on October 8, the whole school joined in the annual Big-Sister Day. After the gunny sack races and hula-hoop contests were over the wear con- - Y testants joined in refreshments with their sisters. Altogether, the day was a great success and helped greatly in the unification of all classes. Together with their Dads, N.
