Aided by their Moderator, Sister Frances, they did the little things which actually mean a great deal. The Rosary was said in the chapel every lunch-hour, and gradually the Legionaires were joined by many other students. Some of the club members taught catechism weekly while others did volunteer work at various hospitals. A collection of dishware was taken up throughout the whole school for the benefit of St. Anthony's Dining Room, and at Easter the patients of Mary's Help Hospital were given statuettes and bouquets of flowers to brighten up their holiday. During the month of May, the girls took on the re- sponsibility of seeing that a May altar was erected in every room, The Legion of Mary also tried to bring Mary and her Son closer to the hearts of others and they sure- ly did not fail in their efforts to do so. .
