Orchestra The orchestra, conducted and instructed by Mr. Frank Biletsky, is a voluntary organi- zation and a class for which members are given school credit. The officers this year are: President, Barbara Paul: Vice-President. Richard Kroeger: Secretaries, Louanna Brown and Joan Hewitt: Librarians, Amelia Cole and Patricia Burr. Louanna Brown, Terri Dickinson, ,loan Hewitt. Richard Kroeger. Jack Maresca. Barbara Paul and Carol Smith from the string section which participated in the NYSSMA Sectional concert held in Norwich in November. The Orchestra accompanied the Choir in producing uThe Mikadof' A County orchestra concert was presented in conjunction with the Choir. The orchestra purchased white formal jackets to be worn for certain performances and assemblies. The orchestra took part in the NYSSMA competition both individually and collectively. The year's work was completed by playing for Baccalaureate and Commencement.

McCall, absent: Ann Rice ... hoir Under the direction of Miss Elizabeth Rigsbee. the Norwich High School A Cappella Choir has presented many successful performances throughout the year. The holiday programs are always very well received by the faculty and the student body. For the first time in quite a few years. this year's choir is presenting an operetta. Many hours of hard work and exhausting rehearsals went into Gilbert and Sullivan's Nl-he Mikadofi ln addition to school functions, the choir performs, upon request, at social activities in Norwich. The increase in membership this year has enabled us to attempt more difficult music. The May Festival in Binghamton is one of the highlights of the year. This year's enrollment is thirty-three.
