Organized for farm boys and those interested in agriculture. the Norwich Chapter was composed this year of thirty memhers. This year the F.F..-X. attended the N.Y.S. Leadership Training Camp. Officers Train- ing School and the Conservation Department's Field Day. both in Greene. and went on educational trips to the Sampson and Hardin Breeding Farms and also to Ithaca during the Farm and Home week. Also. the FFA. entered a Land and Soil Judging Contest, which the Norwich Chapter won. New members this year were initiated into the Green Hand Degree. and others to the Chapter Farmer Degree. Some of the recreational activities were: a party and dance with Oxford. hay ride. deer hunting trip. basketball. fishing trip, and tree planting for the Conservation Department. Besides these many activities. the F.F.A. sponsored two dances in Norwich this year, and did considerable work on the Park Pavilion. Future Farmers of America
