The seventh grade band meets for separate instruction from Mr. Clayton during the school year and appears to be in a particular good humor. Working as a band unit, the eighth grade brings a few years of experience to their performance. This group performs at home basketball games as well as on many other occasions. 21 POMS ADD PEP This perky group adds color and zest to spark the marching band performances. RIFLES DRILL FOR SKILL Precise and poised this squad has Crusader pride. CRUSADER CHOIR CREATES Miss Fagan, director, leads the choir to perform not only as a talented vocal ensemble, but she encourages the participants to use their own unique talents. Willing students use Activity Period to refine skills, and perforin a program for the school. 37 NORWELL MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY Cross Country is a tradition at Norwell, and so is a winning season. A3 f-r SPRING BRINGS Track to the Middle School, but also a curious mix of new life. The science depart- ment raises small animals, but the robin comes every year without a curriculum guide. ACTIVITY PERIOD Middle School students satisfy their varied interests during the last period of the day. They may enter chess tourna- ments, board games, and express them- selves in artistic crafts like macrame. MORE ACTIVITIES Throughout the school year interests like archery, choir and tennis are available to students with the direction of a staff member. - - «..ti ' 46 " fF " AROUND CAMPUS Students find time to chat in lunch lines, while moving to class, and during a school dance. LAST DAY (top) Students receive awards for citizenship, scholarship, and athletics. A talent show rounds out the year with some clowning and a fine display of real talent. (k .
