NORWALK HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS .f fi., Mrs. Alice Watson, director Compliments of Mae E. Mack, Insurance L. H. McNeil, Realtor IOM Benedict Ave, 30 Norwalk High School Chorus, under the capable baton of Mrs. Alice Watson, lived up to its fine reputation again this year. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of the chorus was the blending of the voices of all sections. Among the numerous performances of the year, the Christ- mas program outshone all others because of the soft Ioveliness of the scenery and the lasting beauty of the familiar Christmas carols, highlighted by the solos of Phyllis Marion, Bob Robertson, LaVonne Adkins, Jim Sharp, Juanda Hutton, and Carol Lenz. Our school proved to be extremely popular because the combined choruses of Bellevue, Willard, Shelby, and Norwalk met here on April 8, for the second time in three years, The majestic qualities of Onward Christian Soldiers offered an inspiring number to the large audience. Judy Harkness K g g A Y' x c stonv or THE PLAY i- 2 - 'mf- The Bartlett family runs into sev- eral complications while trying to spend a quiet vacation at their sum- mer cottage. Bunny Bartlett, having no mind of her own, copies the mannerisms of her friends. After the boisterous departure of Delph- ine, one of Bunny's flighty friends, Mr. Bartlett announces the coming of Mrs. Phelps one of his important clients. To complicate things an- other of Bunny's friends, Jessica At- wood arrives. She is a very sophis- ticated, dramatic person who upsets everything by trying to capture both of Bunny's boyfriends, Hugh Ran- dall and Steve Henderson. Tommie's romance with Carol Russell, the girl next door, is broken up when Jessica lies to Carol about Tommie's age. Nettie, the lively little sister, de- cides to get rid of Jessica. She and Tommy planned to play some hor- rible tricks on her but by accident Mrs. Phelps became the victim of the plot. Bunny began to realize that she had no mind of her own after Jessica took her costume and went to a dance with Hugh. The story ends happily after Jessica leaves and Butinyand Steve become engaged. :NA Compliments of H. P. BECKER Co. Mfg.-Dist. Food Products I Big' 15:5 'ei
