Homecoming 1969 Photo Service works on the prize winning sign. THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM , was the theme of a Homecoming Week filled with excitement and enthusi- asm, Many activities took place. The classes decorated the campus and the clubs had a sign painting contest. During snack the princesses and their escorts compet- ed in pizza eating, ice-block racing, paper rolling, egg throwing, and orange passing contests. The Princess of the Day was presented with a cor- sage and a necklace by Andy Halsey, Student Body President. The week ended with the Homecoming Game at Cerri- tos. Before the game each of the princesses was driven around the football field by her parents. The members of the 1969 Homecoming Court were Margo Hashimura escorted by Terry Franklin, Cindy Lucero escorted by Alan Hanson, janet Rico escorted by Mike Bellomo, Mar- ilyn Mueller escorted by Frank Kelleher, and Debbie At- kinson escorted by Randy Spate. Debbie'-5 Dream Debbie smiles to a cheering crowd. Queen Debbie Atkinson with her escort Randy Spate. Amidst tears Debbie Atkinson received a bouquet of roses from Don Tayenaka, Senior Class President, the crown from Renee Diplock, Girl's League President, and a kiss from Andy Halsey, Student Body President. Homecoming was one of the biggest moments in Deb- bie's life. During the week-long contests held at snack, Debbie and her escort, Randy Spate won the orange race and the paper race. Debbie and Randy participate in an ice block race at snack. Debbie Atkinson is named queen as her court looks on. The court is Cindy Lucero, janet Rico, Queen Debbie, Marilyn Mueller, and Margo Hashimura.
