From every available nook and crevice of the building comes the sound of Happy Talku as teacher and stu- dent drill on the aural-oral skills which will assure the competence, fluency and measurable success of the stu- dent in his chosen language. Cultivation of, an interest in, and an appreciation for the language and endeavors of -its people are explored. Preparation not only for college entrance but for under- standing of the people around him are stressed. Linguistic ability is not the ultimate goal, just reasonable mastery from which the spark for gpeople to people understanding is ignited.
