Guidance Department The Guidance Department assists students in their edu- cational, vocational, and personal problems. This assis- tance is rendered through helping students to understand themselves and the world of work. Through counseling, students gain insight into themselves and others and are thereby better prepared to solve personal problems. Guidance includes giving educational and vocational in- formation, individual and group counseling, testing, placement in education and work situations, and following study. N orview 'S Leaders Our school holds a position under the administrative leadership of Mr. Perdue, the principal, Mr. Hindmarsh, the assistant principal for general administration, and Mrs. Chappel, the assistant principal for instruction. These three administrators-all competent, Well qualified, and understanding-are committed to establishing and maintaining a progressive school in a traditional setting. Our administrators are united in their eiforts to engage competent and effective stafli to maintain up-to-date fa- cilities, equipments, and materials, and to gain the full support of the community. These three-Mr. Perdue, Mr. Hindmars, and Mrs. Chapell-are long timersn and have deep roots in Nor- view.
