Ken Votaw ' s fans cheer him on Most weeks at N.J.H. are pretty much the same, so to relieve the monotony, the Student Council came through once again to set aside one week in the school year dedicated to boost school spirit and let off a little of the trapped insanity in all of us. The week got rolling with Red and Black day. Tuesday was crazy and backwards day, a favorite of most students. This day proved as an outlet to teen-age wierdness and was a big success. Students ' class schedules were also reversed - a new idea in the spirit week scene. Wednesday was lickem chompem day, and lollipop sticks and bubbles protruded from just about every mouth. Thursday was sh ' orts, T-shirt and Hat Day. A true test to school spirit. Many students did brave the still very- much-winter temperatures to live up to the theme of the day. The week came to a close with 50 ' s Day the Sock Hop feauring the Fabulous Fifties Faculty Four - a huge success. The week also included a pie eating contest (won by Ken Votaw) and the tug-o- war . It all came together to be a fun and spirit filled week. Peek-a-boo, 1 see you Dig in Ken!
