Pictured above are Terri Riley, Karen Montooth (alternate) Marianne Ferraro (captain), Cathy Bux, Julia Prifogle, Gail Altekruse. The reserve cheerleaders also helped the varsity squad in keeping spirit high in our school. Pictured above are Gina Sparks (alternate), Joan Neuman, Sue Macdonald. Liz Leach, Kris Wall, Pam Mason. ACTIVITIES THE MERRY Above: The Cadet Band is a group of seventh graders working every other day during second period and Wednesdays after school. They try to improve their skills so they might qualify for Concert Band next year. MUSIC MAKERS Above: Shown here is the Concert Band directed by Mr. Morphew. The band is made up of about 65 eighth and ninth graders. Throughout the year they have participated in pep sessions, varsity basketball games, winter and spring concerts, and in the contest. Left: The Concert Orchestra, also directed by Mr. Morphew, is made up of seventh, eighth, and ninth grade string instrument players and part of the eighth and ninth grade wind players. They meet Tuesday afternoons after school to practice for concerts and contest. Above: Pic- tured here is the Wind Ensemble made up of eighth graders. They practice hard to be in Con- cert Band next year. They also played at the varsity basketball games along with the Con- cert Band. The Concert Choir con- sists of 9th 8th graders. To get into this organi- zation you must be re- sponsible, and able to work hard, and to sing. Each member of this or- ganization has at least 1 year of experience and the 9th graders have two. The Glee Club meets opposite the Concert Choir every other morning. For some reason or other they were not able to make Concert Choir, so they will try again next year. This is a choir consisting of 7th graders, getting training this year. They will either make Glee Club or Concert Choir next year. INTRAMURALS KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY The boys intramurals, as last year, offered a place for boys to go after school. It also gave boys that didn ' t make the school team, a chance to participate in sports they like. Girls intramurals this year was a big success in their new and different ideas. Miss Sheak, supervisor of the girls, did a terrific job of keeping everyone interested; and welcome. GIRLS HAVE MANY ACTIVITIES Pictured here are the of- fice helpers. These girls do their part in helping the office be more effi- cient. Pictured here is the sewing club. Supervised by Mrs. Kirkha.n and Mrs. Stout. These girls learn to make their own clothes.
