CITY CHAMPS IN CROSS COUNTRY The varsity cross-country team ran their way to the city championship this year. The boys came in before school and wortced hard to condition themselves both mentally and physically for the rigorous task of running the many miles for practice and meets. The champs were coached by Mr. Detwiler and Mr. Windmiller. The team members are (TOP ROW): Al Wright, Richard Vaughn, Kerry Mere- dith, Ed Lewton, Robin Martin and Coach Detwiler. BOTTOM ROW: Tim Dixon, Bill Piercy, Steve Crow, Tom Kline and Doug Vining. Our reserve cross country developed rapidly this year, and did well in all their meets to win their well-deserved city champ honors. They ' re all look- ing forward to next year with the hopes that they will follow in the var- sity ' s footsteps. Mr. Windmiller and Mr. Det- wiler are the coaches. In the TOP ROW are: Coach Windmiller, Dave Simmons, Jim Kumfer, Gary Hunter, Rick Zart- man, and Coach Detwiler. BOTTOM ROW: Larry Stemmon,Roy Kline, Tom Bunner, John Magley, and Wes Sidwell.
