Girls' Varsity and Reserve teams: Kneeling- Barbara Jenkins, Helen Errett, Helen Randall, Sharon Smith, Ann Albert, Suan Weikert,Marilynn Johnson,Jacky Hawk, Ann Shaffer, reserve team, captain: Peggy Westerfield, Helen Laugh- lin,and Mildred Jenkins, varsity team captain. Standing - Janice Grimm, Sue Vince, Joan Peters, Emily Ballentine, Mrs. Wimberly, girls' athletic coach, Beth Coy, Shirley Brown, Margie Toland, and Pat Barger. The varsity girls' team held a 4-Z record this past year by defeating North- eastern, Southeastern, Enon, Bethel and losing only to Tecumseh. Peggy West- erfield, Shirley Brown, Margie Toland, Marilynn Johnson, and Mildred Jenkins played forward positions, while Helen Errett, Sue Vince, Emily Ballentine, and Joan Peters played guard positions. The high-scorer for the team was Shirley Brown with 69 points. The reserve team held a Z-4 record with wins over Southeastern and Enon. Forwards were Barbara Jenkins, Ann Shaffer, Janice Grimm, Suan Weikert, and Sharon Smith. Pat Barger, Donna Donovan, Helen Randall, Beth Coy, and Ann Albert played guard. Janice Grimm was the high-scorer for the reserve team with 51 points. Evelyn Grisso and Shirley Campbell were the ever-faithful managers for the team, while Sandra Augustus kept score at all of the games that the teams played. 62

The G.A.A. reserves had a rec- ord this year of three wins over Northeastern, Southeastern, and Fairborn and three losses to Enon, Tecumseh and Troy. Nine of the team members will graduate this year. Marlene Chan- ey is included in this group as she was forced to quit earlierin the season, because of illness.
