VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM ,Q Fix m Ron Bare, Bob Snipes, Roger Wagner, Kenny Filbrun, Don Rader, Captaing Jerry Hoberty, Bob Leonard, Don Fuller. Managers: Scott Bailey, Jim Bereczky, and Marvin Brown. The 1954-1955 Warriors playing a tough schedule and doing a rebuildingjob gave a good account of themselves. There were six seniors on the squad, two being on the starting five: Roger Wagner, Bob Leonard, Don Fuller, Kenny Filbrun, Jerry Ho- berty, and Bill Ray. Don Rader was the only Junior playing var- sity ball. He received a trophy in the Christmas Carnival for being the outstanding player of the tourney. The remainder of the squad was sophomores,two being on the starting five. These two were Bob Richendollar and Ronnie Bare. Both boys were tremendous competitors. Other sophomores were Bob Snipes, Don Carlyle, and Dave Lower. The team finished the season with a 9-ll record including tournament play, while losing four of these by only two points or less. The highlights of the season were beating Enon and Urbana. 56
