SWE ETHE RT DANCE The second Sweetheart Dance at Northwestern was held February 12 in honor of St. Valentine's Day. The G.A.A. sponsored the dance and was in charge of the deco- rations and selection of the king and queen. Two boys and l 'R two girls from each of the four classes were chosen as candi- 'xu' dates. On Friday before the .. dance, the student body voted upon the candidates and se- lected Roger Wagner as king and Shirley Brown as queen. Sweetheart king and queen, Roger Wagner and Shirley Brown. I TRAMLIRALS Table Tennis . The table tennis tournament was won by the following: Girls' Singles: Jacky Hawk. Girls' Doubles: Joan Peters and Betty De- trick. Mixed Doubles: Helen Laughlin and Don Rader. Boys' Doubles: Don Fuller and Bob Leonard. Boys' Singles: Don Rader. Basketball Winners of basketball intrarnuralsz Fifth period girls - Susan Weikert, Mar- ilynn Johnson, Linda Slagle, Sharon Hermes, Judy Parker, Beverly Wallingsford, and Shir- ley Campbell. Fourth period boys - Bob Clark, Roger Kaf- fenbarger, LeonardJones,Jack Stewart, Jerry Warren, and Jim Hoberty.
