Standing - Patty Dick, Ann Shaffer, Beverly Dill, Jacky Hawk, Linda Wolf, Shirley Brown, Linda Slagle, and Evelyn Bodenbender. The Sweetheart Dance proved to be the biggest event that the G.A.A. sponsored this past year. The club decorated the gym for the dance and made the arrangements for the crowning of the Sweetheart Queen and King. Such activities as sockhops after most ofthe home basketball games were held to make money. Some of this money was used to hold a play day in which two other county schools participated. The other money will be used towards purchasing new jackets lk forthe girls' basketball teams next year. The club set up schedules for intramural teams at noon in soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Awards were presented to the winners of each sport. The club also adopted a new constitution during the latter part of the year. Under this constitution each girl mustparticipate in at least half the playing time of two intramural or scholastic sports to remain a member ofthe G.A.A. 42 X lk e
