The 1974 Wildcat varsity lacrosse team finished its season with a 6-6 record. Despite the seemingly medio- cre record the 'Cats finished third behind tough Northern and Park teams. The squad was led by the . offense of Jeff Gold and Wayne Car- A rington, and the defense of John Anderson and David Pugh. Qfiokers Would Rafher Forgef The year, 1974, is one that Northwest- ern's J.V. Lacrosse players and coach would like to forget. Compiling a dismal 2-9 record, the Wildcats could not seem to win, for losing. Time after time the 'Cats blew leads and eventually lost, worst perhaps, was the margin of score in those losses. Five of the nine losses were by less than two points. Despite the poor showing, the team had its bright spots in the performances of Lester Brown and Michael Gunther.
