We ' ve preserved the heart of the book, just as it was planned and laid out 24 years ago. We hope you will like and treasure it—and forgive us if there are any itiixups of naines and photos, You can thank Bob Bosnian for initiating the project during a casual conversation with Gene Kordick, Administrative Vice President. Another veep, Steve Cramer, Vice President for Development and College Relations, picked up on the idea and charged his staff to carry it through, namely Eleanor Anderson in Alumni Relations and Peter Buckles in College Relations. At this point no one knew if it was even possible to carry out, but Mary Lou Hovda in the Library (our unofficial consultant on the past) was positive that Chancellor Bemtsen still had the layout pages and photos. His secretary, Ardath Gatten, confirmed this and called the Chancellor in Arizona, who gave the go-ahead on the project, Ihe College Relations staff went to work and fait accompli ! So enjoy a little journey back into yesterday with our compliments. You ' ve waited a long time, but your day has finally cane. Eleanor Anderson Director of Alumni Relations A Christian College of the Bible, Arts and Sciences, and Vocational Education Northwestern College Radio Network 1966 Scroll Northwestern College, Minneapolis, Minnesota The 1966 Scroll is dedicated to Miss Lucerne Gustafson Because you have never been too busy to chat when we have wanted to talk, to counsel when we have sought advice, to listen when we have needed to speak. Because you have taken time to look when we have needed someone to see, to love when we have felt no one cared, to understand when no one else could. Because you have shown us through your quiet manner, through your undemanding spirit, through your unpretentious example, the life which only the presence of the indwelling Christ can give. Because you have dared to believe when no one else would, trusted when no reasons were given, given when nothing could be returned. Because of this, and much more, Wie dedicate this, the 1966 SCROLL, to you — MISS LUVERNE GUSTAFSON 3 Class Officers FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS included: Donna Jelmeland, Delores Salter, and Linda Bonasera.
