DEANS As we steadily increase in student enrollment, we become in- creasingly aware of our change from a small to a medium-sized college. Attendant on such a change is the regrettable transition from more personal relationships between students, faculty, and staff to the relationships which require greater responsibilities on the stu- dents ' part for their own welfare and success. You seniors who are tasting the success of your efforts are to be commended for having met this challenge of change. That you have steadily adjusted to the problems of growth and development into your present stage of responsible adulthood, attests to your ability and determination. You are to be congratulated. During your college tenure many significant changes have taken place on the campus. The plant has increased in size, and the faculty and staff in numbers. Social and departmental activities are more numerous. Class sizes are greater and more subjects are being offered. Yet you have been able to adjust and meet such changes. This may possibly be one of the most valuable assets of your education; especially in light of the significant changes that are taking place around us in this atomic and space age. You who are still pursuing that degree can well use this per- spective which allows for the necessity of change and the increase in responsibility for individual welfare and behavior. What we pre- fer doing today may be out of line and thus interfere with what we wish for tomorrow. Dean of Students Dr. Charles E. Koerble Board of Regents: H. N. Stevenson, Garvin Williams, Luther Belcher, W.M. Dawson, Pres. J. W. Jones, Harold Hull, H. F. Simrall, A. B. Vogt.
