LEGE PRE IDE T 9 ESSAGE A year ago your TOWER staff decided on the general theme of the 1954 TOWER and here is the realization of that plan. How Well the staff has been able to bring together in words and pictures life on the campus of the Northwest Missouri State College is evident in these pages. Life on the campus is made up of many activities, classroom work, social af- fairs, spiritual experiences, adjustment to the physical environment, and others Well known to every college student. Here they are all brought together in the year-round record of student life. The staff is to he congratulated on the splendid manner in which they have told the story ofthe development of the naive freshman tothe sophisticated senior. Truly the mark of quality on the graduates of this college should carry with it the assur- ance of a Well-developed individual. This should mean that the graduate is well pre- pared in his chosen areas of learning, that he has developed a professional outlook that will help him in his chosen vocation, that he will have developed those social characteristics which will mark him as a college educated citizen, that he has learned to care for his body and to nourish his soul to the end that he will repay society in the quality of his life for the opportunities that have been made avail- able to him on this campus. The 1954 TOWER is yours to enjoy as you live again the school year 1953-54 and see here those things that have helped to make you a better person because of your associa- tion with the life on this campus. -.1 .
