TOWER EDITORIAL To preserve for the students of our College, the memories of the years 1944 and 1945, was the high aim of the TOWER staff. We visioned pictures of all the students, in class sections, and in campus candid shots, but our visions vanished as film was prac- tically impossible to get. We unwillingly gave up the wonderful things we had dreamed of for this year ' s TOWER, accepting what we believed was the best choice. So we have published the 1945 TOWER, convinced that it matters not the quantity of materials used in its publication. Stu- dents and faculty are the TOWER ' S story and they have not changed in quality since yearbooks were tilled with beautiful col- ors and full-page pictures. The questions of what you, who were in college this year, did on behalf of your fellowmen-men during the war years, the 1945 TOWER has tried to answer. The TOWER alone is not enough to dedicate to the men and women who call this their College while they are in service, but the publication of the book represents the freedom of expression and educational development for which they fight. To the preser- vation of those ideas we have dedicated ourselves in the year of which this book is a record. rhirtccu
