During the sum- mer, the members of Class Council dedicated their time and ef- forts to finding the perfect location for the prom, and organizing' numerous details. Class Council sponsored such fundraising activities as Frisbee, pickle, candy, and class button sales, car- washes, plus the sale of screen print t-shirt iron-ons. The Coun- cil reserved a room at the Balboa Pavillion toward the end of sum- mer, 1977, and chose the band as early as October. The Pavillion served as a beautiful- location for the prom, overlooking a moonlit beach. A new twist was added to the prom by serving a buffet style dinner with a pleasing variety of entrees.
