40 Montview Five 0 thy' Qradua tes ChOS6'Il Every year five students from each Montview League school are chosen to be honored at the annual Montview League Honors Banquet. At Northview, the Scholastic Committee selected ten nominees based on their academic record and their variety of school activities. The faculty then voted on the top five they believed to be deserv- ing of this honor. The following students were se- lected to represent Northview at the banquet: Cindy Aulwes Busy with different aspects of school life, Cindy has been a Junior Class Legislator, varsity and junior varsity cheerleader, and treasurer of Thori- ans. She was an active member in her Sophomore, Junior and Senior Class Councils, VIKING staff, Pep Club, Girls' League, C.S.F., Rally Club and Thorians. She was awarded many honors includ- ing Senior Christmas Ball Princess, January Girl of the Month and voted by her class as the senior girl with the Best Personality. For her high scholastic record, she was on the Principal's Hon- or Roll. Tammy Hagen Tammy, busy promoting Northview's spirit, had the responsibility of head junior varsity cheer- leader in her sophomore year and a varsity cheer- leader in her junior years. She held the office of Freshman Class Legislator and participated in Girls' League, Pep Club, Idunians, Rally Club, A.F.S., the N.C.T.E. Writing Contest, was Thori- ans' historian, and in her junior year was presi- dent of C.S.F. Tammy received many awards such as the D.A.R. Good Citizen Award, and the Floyd Myrick Award for the Most Improved in Math. Popular among her peers, she was voted Home- coming Queen, November Girl of the Month, and Most Spirited in Senior Best. For maintaining a high grade point average, Tammy was placed on the Principal's Honor Roll. Patsy Corrigan Along with being Editor-in-Chief of the VIKING '78, Patsy held the offices of Freshman Class Treasurer, Sophomore Class President, A.S.B. Coordinator of Special Events, and a freshman baseball statician. She participated in Girls' League, Art Club, the Accreditation Committee, the P.T.A. Covina Coordinating Council, and Girls' State. She was voted by her fellow students as Sophomore Christmas Ball Princess and Done Most for the School in Senior Best. For her out- standing grade point average, she has been on the Principal's Honor Roll. Gnd Qlulwes Rick Beck Throughout his four years at Northview, Rick was in- volved in C.S.F., N.V.T.V., band, been a member of the varsity track team, and the Band Section Leader and Publicity officer. He was awarded December Man of the Month by the Covina Lions Club, Outstanding Band Member, Most Intelligent in Senior Best, and the Floyd Myrick Award for the Most Promising in English. Rick was also on the Principal's Honor Roll for the past four years. Carole McQuillan Involved in student government, Carole held the office of Sophomore Class Legislator, A.S.B. Secretary of Corre- spondence, A.S.B. Coordinator of Elections and was in- volved with class councils. Carole was a member of Speech Club, VIKING staff, Litter Committee, and A.F.S. treas- urer in her junior year. She was a Girls' league representa- tive in her junior and senior years, and was a participant in the Capitol Youth Tour. She was honored by being voted the October Girl of the Month, Basketball Royalty Queen, and Best All Around in Senior Best. Also main- taining a high grade point average, Carole has been on the Principal's Honor Roll.
