Each athlete had a choice of which events he would lxke to compete in although Coach I reer encouraged the members to choose events that would help the team Coach Greer felt that some of the teams strong members were number one long and hugh yamper Jeff Wxlhams high ranked shot putter Johan Koenig and drstaace racers Nelson Duenas and Oscar Huxcochea Team members did stretchxng exercises and sprint form dnlls and logged two laps to improve their track and field skxlls Workman, Bassett and Nogales hugh schools were the players most challenging opponents mainly because the Vikings were slow in the sprmtmg events by comparison tu those teams Wah such top cmdermen as Jeff Williams, Johan Koen: , Kevin Flemmxng Kevin Due nas and scar Huxcochea partncxpatmg Northvxew had a strong varsxty track team this year . . !
