iomecoming Qevoic-as Specialcime io flumni Welcome Back Alumni! Homecoming 1977 was a spe- cial time for many people. The alumni, mainly from the class of 1977, came back to watch the football game, visit old friends, and help to cheer the Vikings on to victory over Nogales. Excitement increased among the crowds as half-time approached, 'soon a new Homecoming Queen would be crowned! A The Homecoming court consisted of five princesses es- corted by their fathers: Tammy Hagen and Richard Ha- geng Mary O'Hanlon and Felix O'Hanlong Jill Lineberger and Hugh Lineberger, Roxane Moore and Harold Moore, and Patti Plummer and Gardner Plummer. The half-time ceremonies were centered around the themes of Welcome Back. Characters involved in the half-time entertainment were Barbarino, Horshak, Epstein, Mr. Woodman, Washington, and Mr, Kotterf' As the girls rode onto the field in 1977 sports cars the band played the theme song from Welcome Back, Kotterf' Each princess was escorted by one of the charac- ters to the red carpet, where her father awaited her arri- 1 1 ,. 1. ' val. Angela Arndt, the 1976 Homecoming Queen, arrived last. The traditional drumroll echoed over quieted stands, iously waited for the new Queen to be revealed. With approving applause from the stands, the crown came to rest on Tammy Hagen, the 1977 Homecoming Queen! Flashbulbs flickered and happiness shone from the face of 3 the new queen. After pictures of the queen and her court were taken, the girls were escorted off the field to seats reserved for them. Following half-time, the football game continued, Northview's varsity team playing strategically. The final score was Northview 23, and Nogales 153 another Homef coming victory! Shortly after the game was the Homecoming dance. Attire for the dance was semi-formal. Music for the even- ing was provided by the band Pacific Coast Highway.
