Hhoir This choir has had a very exciting cmd full year of activities which included singing for many organizations, sponsoring assemblies and dances for the Student Body, and attending fheir first festival for judging. The choir robes, gold, with white and black, were worn for the first time, when the Viking Choir sang for the Covina Coordinating Council, December 14, 1960. .The director, Mrs. Bourquin, is assisted by the follow- ing officers: Concert mgr., Bonnie Kasten, Secretary, Linda Dellllont, Librarian, Karen Duckworth, Publicity, De De Ambord, and Robe Chairman, Carol Ottlefsburigi. ln earning letters each individual has to obtain an 'A' in scholastic grade and outstanding in citizenship, besidesi attending every rehearsal, concert, and activity planned for the group. The director, Mr. Messenger, who used to play his tenor sbxophonefahd claringetgsfvith a dance band in earlier years, has done a tremendous iob with the group. TheDance Band made its first appearance at the dance sponsored by the Music Department and an assembly on a later date. The group hopes to play for a dance annually, so good luck Dance Band.
