The officers and members are doing everything in their power to make the club one of Northview's strongest, most re- spected organizations. The officers are: President, Kendra Mallinson, Vice President, Diane Burnham, Secretary, Stephanie Frederick, and Advisor, Mr. Cousins. Quture urscs af .America The Northview Nurses Club is a club to pro- mote nursing to the high school age girl. The club has many and varied activities. The active membership attends teas at hospitals and other schools. We'veleven been aboard the U.S.S. Haven, and U.S. Navy hospital ship. The club also has community service proiects such asrnaking tray favors for chil- dren's hospitals. The club has also helped with on-campus medical and dental clinics. l punish 51116 Los Companeros, the Spanish Club, had as its main purpose the enioyment of Spanish and Latin American culture. Under the lead- ership of President Gloria Stephens, V.P. El- vira Casillas, Secretary-Treasurer, Kathleen Olson, and Activities Chairman Betsy Acree, the club held bi-weekly meetings at which various types of interesting programs were presented. Maior activities planned by the club during the year were dinner at a Mexi- can restaurant, a trip to Olvera Street on the Fifth of May, lthe Mexican national holidayl, and the sponsorship of a trip to Pauda Hills for all the Spanish classes. Sfrcnch 61116 The French Club has enioyed learning about French culture and customs. Along with this they have become more familiar with the French language. In late Spring the club held a party which proved to be a great success. The emblem of the French Club is the fleur-de-lis of France. On this emblem are the initials L.C.F. which means, Les Co- quettes Francaises. The officers include: President, Penny Winn, Vice President, -Charlene Klempner, Secretary, Rayna Eisner, Treasurer, Janet Lombardo, Social Chairman, Sue Mallon. ,Catiu 61110 The Latin Club is composed of a group who wish to learn more about the Roman culture and also combine this with social activities. The club produced a skit called The Opera- tion in late January. In spring,lthey,put on a Roman banquet for its members, and the decor was as close to ancient Roman as possible.
