BOYS GYM NASTICS BOTTOM ROW lL-R1 Gilbert Rivera, Mark Koos, Greg Forney, Jeff Thornton, Steve Ward, Jake Lobato, Terry Zimmerman, Coach Armour TOP ROW lL-RJ Les Oldright, Mike Gallager, Lee Guard, Steve Dencklau, Lee Oswald, Steve Rapp, Chris Forsemark, Mark Pryor, Mgr. Scott Broda In 1972 a new gymnastics team of sophomores set several goals . This team, with the closing of the 1974 season, has reached every single one of those goals, including three straight winning seasons against the toughest competition possible, and contention for the state title in 1974 . The highlight of this season was a second place finish in the district. In this meet, Northglenn qualified every single competitor for the finals and qualified fifteen individuals and the team for the state meet. ln state, Northglenn finished ninth overall. Individually, Greg Forney finished third in vaulting while Jeff Thornton finished fifth . This season saw the breaking of every record in the sport, including high team score, high all around and high scores in all six events. 108
