Harriers place at Conference It was a season of rebuilding for the Norse harriers who finished 4- 11 for the year. Sophomore Steve Kirtlan, who ran in the number 3 slot, showed everyone that he would be the man to beat next season. Freshman Kris Wood- ward also proved himself a capable runner. Kris ran the number 4 position during the year. The Norse were passed by two senior runners, Bob Flott and Kyle Kelly, who had to change form, running the 2 1 2 mile course from last year to the new official distance 5000 meters (3.1). Both were given trophies at the fall awards ban- quet for being the most valuable runners.
