The G.A.A. is our Girls ' Athletic Association which consisted of 26 girls. The sponsor was the physical ed- ucation teacher, Miss AAusselman. Since this was a new organization all of the games were intramural ex- cept one which was a volleyball game with North Miami High School. We were defeated. We won twice over our own Northfield women faculty in a best two out of three game series of volleyball. During the win- ter, basketball as well as volleyball was also enjoyed. TtcitioH OHon. Soccetcf The National Honor Society is a scholastic organization based on the grades of the per- son during his four years of high school. Our seven mem- bers from the previous year in- ducted twelve new members on December 1 . These included one senior and eleven juniors. On January 15, we held a cake raffle at the White ' s basketball game and served food after- wards. Career Ds on March 24 with seven- teen speakers was sponsored by us also. After the program, a tea was held for the faculty, the guest speakers and the members of our club. Duri ng the last week of May, a picnic was held for our mem- bers, their guests and sponsor, Mr. Pansier. H ee»6 Each Northfield High School boy who had earned a varsity letter was a member of the N Club. The club consisted of seventeen seniors, nineteen juniors, and eleven sophomores making a total of forty-seven members. During football and basketball seasons our Letterman Club was busy preparing the programs which you received at the games. On April 14, a convo- cation was held in the gym sponsored by us with guest speaker, Mr. Carl Erskine, a former Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodger for eighteen years. A party on May 26, held at our school, was enjoyed by the members and sponsors,- Mr. Smucker, Mr. Shaw, Mr. Christie, and Mr. Reahard.
