Mr. Clarence Krammes CRIGHTJ Mr. James Davis from many points of view In seventh grade we see our administrators as disci- plinarians, to be regarded with awe and respect. As we grow older and our feelings mature, we look on them as the organizing force at NL. We also realize that they do indeed deserve the respect we've felt for them through the years. me li 26 Discipline as a student sees it.. "The students of NL should appreciate the freedoms allowed them by the relatively relaxed discipline. However, we must realize the responsibilities which are created by this freedom." -Steve Gira rd The attitudes of the present day permissive society have had a definite effect on discipline through out the entire nation. Northern Lebanon High School is no exception. There are many people that insist that our discipline is too lax. These same people also state that our discipline is too severe, if it involves them. I can sense from the attitude that a student portrays, just what the discipline is like in that home. -Mr.Gahres as an administrator sees it. CTOP LEFTJ Mr. H. According to this system of thought, life is made up of opposites contrasting with each other, and yet working together to form "the complete circle" of life. There is joy in sorrow, evil in good, and positive in negative. No idea exists purely without the influence and contrast of its opposite. We see sports as a paradox. There is victory and defeat, sucess and failure, effort and fatigue, spirit and apathy. All these opposites combine to create the complete feeling of participation in athletics here at Northern Lebanon. Our athletes give of themselves, they work-but the whole point of interscholastic sports is fun. Thus-The Yin and Yang fits our Viking teams. ,, gt , gg A, , J S it , J 'ix Q all VARSITY SOCCER ROW 1: David Zimmerman, Roger Kline, David Rhen, ROW 2: Dean Hess, Mike Dowhower, Randy Light, Scott Wentling, Ronald Laub, Dennis Smith, Jeffrey Douglas Kline, Fred Keeney, Tom Bleichert, Randy Adams, Brian Kern, Randy Laub, Farrell, John Sterner, Jeff Hinkle, Mike Rhen, Coach John Rhen. 143 JUNIOR HIGH SOCCER NL OPPONENT 1 2 Garden Spot O 1 Wheatland 3 0 Donegal 2 3 Pequea Valley 2 O Lampeter-Strasburg 2 O Manheim Central 1 1 Garden Spot O O Wheatland O 1 Donegal O 1 Pequea Valley 5 O Lampeter'Strasburg 1 O Manheim Twp. 1 O Annville Cleona JUNIOR VARSITY SOCCER N.L. For soccer home games we can't even get 25 people to watch the games. You may say we never win a soccer game. Well, maybe if we had some spirit from the student body, most of whom don't even go out for sports, to at least come to the games and watch, and maybe even cheer us on. If we do have people there, they are mostly girls who come when hockey practice is over. We didn't even have a decent number of spectators at our own homecoming game. That's spirit for you isn't it? lf kids would support our teams, they'd win more games. Dennis Smith X V 'XOR r.. K Kwik ,J Xi of T L KWEE X in ,J 'J -1-. 1 V , -w.
