WITH our nation's efforts to conserve natural resources, we hear much about recycling or reusing glass, paper and aluminum. These recycled substances are produced again as glass, paper and aluminum, but not always in the same form. In the process, a paper bag may become wrapping paper. Essentially it is the same substance--but there is a difference. | HAVE you heard of recycled clothing and hair styles? No? Perhaps you have heard it referred to as Nostalgia. Does that ring a bell?

WE are experiencing a period of Nostalgia right now, whether you realize it or not! If you don't be- lieve me, just get out your par- ents' yearbooks and pictures, or look at the composites hanging in the halls here at school. YOU might get a big kick out of those long skirts, straight-legged pants, saddle shoes, and short hair cuts. But stop and think a minute. According to the fashion experts, the mini skirts and long hair. are being replaced by the longer, knee length skirts and really short hair cuts. In other words, we are going back to the styles that our parents wore. Like it or not, we are caught smack-dab in the middle of a period of Nostalgia! IT seems that rural areas, like good old Garrett County, are always the last to experience changes in styles and customs, But not here at Northern, not this time! You might say we were one jump ahead of the fashion because
