REMEMBER THE YEAR First comes Orientation Day when, as a sixth grader, you get your first glimpse of the high school environment. Exciting, but not impressive. Then, you become a part of the action, an actual member of the secondary educa- tional system. The excitement of seventh grade overwhelms you, but you learn to adjust, and before long you find yourself halfway through the sec- ond year of Jr. High. Then you come up against another mile- stone; the crossing over into Sr. High territory. In ninth grade your course of studies becomes important as preparation for col- lege, a job, or secretarial career. Tenth grade looms before you and soon Mr. Sines is tearing out his hair as he braves your first attempt behind the wheel. Rings are the thing in your Jr. year and the prom isn't bad either.

Then it hits you, and as you pick yourself up off the floor, you realize you're finally a Senior. The struggle and tedious demands of the past five years become superficial as you walk proudly through the halls. Your victories and defeats serve only to help you develop into the adult that you are. You walk with your head in the clouds till that day when you begin to seriously ponder whether you are ready for that awe-inspiring world out-
