Home Economics , West Virginia University , Home Economics HOME ECONOMICS FOR BETTER LIVING When we say Home Economics, we usually think of cooking and sewing; but it really includes more than these, Home Economics means training in economy, interior decoration, house planning, fitting, the choosing of colors and patterns for clothing, neatness, nutrition, food preservation, meal planning and serving, party decorations, and yes, even dish washing. The senior high division will also hold a Nursery School in the spring; the girls will study child growth and development. Style show and covered dish dinner. 12
