The Future Farmers ofAmer- ica is an organization for boys studying vocational agriculture in high school. It is the largest farm boy organization in the world with chapters in the forty- eight states, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The Cove Chapter which is chartered by the Maryland and National organizations has one hundred and twenty members. Activities sponsored by the F,F,A. are: The Annual Sweet- heart Dance and Contest, Parent and Son Banquet, and the Farm Operation. , is National Senior Honor Society Character, scholarship, leadership, and service are qualities worthy of encouragement in any school. Recog- nition of these traits is rewarded by membership in the National Honor Society. The Society is anation wide organization sponsored by the National Association of Secondary Principals. In the future the Honor Society hopes to revise its mailing list of members, continue its substitute te aching and keep the scrapbook. As one of its special projects, the Honor Society hopes to provide robes for its inductions or help the Glee Club to buy robes. Y I t . , . I I National Junior Honor Society Membership in the Junior Honor Society is obtained by outstanding work in the field of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Members are elected from the eighth and ninth grade students who consti- tute the upper U3 of their classes. Nancy Turney was named President of the Society. Other officers include Thomas Kirby-Vice-President, Judy Edwards-Secretary, and Mary Ann Alexander-Treasurer. ll

The club officers are: President-Blaine Green, Vice- President--Carl Mazer, Secretary--Jack Caruthers Treasurer-Reed Richter, and Sentinel-Paul Baier.
