Viking Personnel Work Our office staff is the hub of our school. Checking attendance, keeping school financial records, operat- ing the switchboard, and assisting with school routine are the duties of the office workers. Mrs. Goudelock is a real asset to Northeast. She is the sponsor of the Medical Careers Club, she belongs to the District, State, and National Nurses' Associa- tion, and teaches a class at Northeast in Red Cross home nursing every year. BETTIE LESHER Financial Secretary Secretary of the Principal PAULINE GOUDELOCK School Nurse Mrs. Lesher is at work totaling school accounts on her adding machine. This year our Parent-Teacher-Student As- sociation has placed special emphasis on sportsmanship. They are striving to bring into closer relation the home and the school. MapQ Out Route for Teachers, Students MR. JIM JOHNSON Principal Mr. Skelton and Mr. Johnson have proved their ability to work well together. Mr. Skelton received his Bachelor's degree at Central State College, his Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma, and is now working toward his Doctor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Skelton has taught at Jefferson, Southeast, and at the University of Oklahoma. We at Northeast are proud to have him as a member of our staff. Northeast was glad to have Mr. Johnson a key part of our administration again this year. He was assistant principal last year for the first semester and prin- cipal last semester. Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor's de- gree at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and his Master’s degree at Tul- sa University. Under Mr. Johnson's direction. North- east has shown marked improvements. He has played an important part in the successful integration of our school. Our principal has proved to be a very kind and friendly person, and we at Northeast hope he will be with us for many years to come. MR. MAX SKELTON Assistant Principal 21

Faithfully for School Our counselors are always on the alert, ready to help Northeast stu- dents adjust their personal and school problems. They also super- vise enrollment and testing, as well as directing many other school ac- tivities. Because of its 12,000 books, the 5S reference books and available author information, a student can find material on any subject. The fall book fair held in the library gave students an opportunity to purchase an in- teresting and educational book covering any field.
