Administration Dr. Jack F. Parker became superintendent of the Oklahoma City Public Schools July 1, 1961. Dr. Parker is a native of Alva, Oklahoma He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State College, Alva. After serv- ice in World War II, he joined the Oklahoma City school system in 1953 as a science teacher at Grant High School where he later served as assistant principal. In 1956 he moved to New York and earned a doctor's degree in educa- tional administration. He returned in 1958 as principal of Webster Junior High School, no longer in existence. In 1959 Dr. Parker w as named assistant to the superintendent and, in I960, assistant superintendent in charge of in- struction. The Parkers reside at 2832 Northwest 43rd w'ith their three children.
