Opp. 18 Morgan Park 18 Glenwood 7 26 St. George 7 27 Walther Luther 13 Luther North 32 27 Wheaton o 19 Luther South 33 North Park Non-league games 70- The Varsity football team of 1959 would like to dedicate this page to Mac McCarty and Rick Lambart in an attempt to express our appreciation of everything they have done for us. Mac has, in addition to coaching us in the fundamentals and fine points of football, helped us to gain courage and confidence in ourselves. Through him we have learned to meet a challenge head-on and try as best we can to overcome it, and we feel that this will be tre- mendously important to us during the rest of our lives. He has shown us how to stand on our own, but at the same time he has been forever ready to give us advice or help when we have needed it. Mac is not only a terrific coach, he is one of the finest persons we have ever known. Rick has been associated with North Shore football since 1933. His knowledge, guidance, and understanding have been an invaluable experience for us and for teams of the past. His patience and his understanding of us have brought us through many crises which we could not have successfully negotiated alone. He has instilled in us the will to win, but at the same time he has shown that above all it is most important that we do the best we can. His de- votion to us is matched only by our devotion to him. These two men have given a spirit to the 1959 football team which will never be forgot- ten. It is to them that we attribute our success, as a team and as individuals. We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest thanks and gratitude to Mac and Rick. 71 Varsity Hockey FRONT ROW: J. Trieschmarm, L. Howe, P. McKinney, C. Walk, C. Kern, M.
