In days to come it should bring back many cherished memories. But I'd like to think of the '54 Mane! as an inspiration we'll always have with us. It attempts to show that in our years at North we have developed leadership ability through our teachers, gained scholarship training in each classroom, acquired depth of character by athletics, and practised serving one another in our activities. As for this book if there is one person who deserves a lot more credit than he gets for all he has done for us it's Jolm Hofferty. Thanks also to Mr. Bleiler who was satisfied with nothing less than perfection in his photography, and to Mr. Moore who was always good for a timely suggestion and a new idea. We're continually grateful to our extra eflicient typists and to Miss Morrison and Miss Mullaney who were always willing to help us with a smile. We were really lucky to get a great business manager like Ed. Densmore and a layout editor like Buddy Harris with his professional-like designs. So you see it takes all kinds of people to make a yearbook as wf-ll as a world. PETER KETTNER jo Qui' .fgcluerfizierd ana! pafrond any, any .'7AanL:5 MR. HARRY ACKERMAN MR. RONALD L. ACORN MR.
